About School of Security and Intelligence (SS&I)

School of Security and Intelligence (SS&I) is one of the prestigious training institutes of Bangladesh Air Force. This school was named as School of Air Intelligence (SAI) on 23 February 1991 at BAF Base Bashar, Dhaka Cantonment. In the year 1999, SAI was renamed as School of Security & Intelligence (SSI). SS&I is located at BAF Base Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud, Tangail.

Courses Offered

Officers’ Basic Air Intelligence (OBAI) Course

To impart basic theoretical and practical knowledge on intelligence aspects

Medium: English

Rank: Officers of any rank at least 4 years commissioned service, Maximum age 34 years

Duration: 07 Weeks

Annual Intake: 01

Unit Security Officers’ (USO) Course

To impart basic theoretical and practical knowledge of security as well as intelligence aspects

Medium: English

Rank: Officers of any rank at least 2 years commissioned service, Maximum age 34 years

Duration: 04 Weeks
