About Remount Veterinary and Farm Depot (RV&F Depot)

Lcoated in Savar, Dhaka, Remount Veterinary and Farm Depot acts as centre and school of Remount Veterinary and Farm Corps. It provides all sorts of basic and technical training to Officer, Junior Commissioned Officer, other ranks and civil employees. Beside training War Dog Detachment, this unit conducts VVIP/ VIP duty round the country. In every training year number of officer’s from friendly foreign countries are coming to this unit for different Army level courses.

Objectives

To hold and train 50-70 horses and up to 20 dogs at a time.

To carry out Research and Development on animal diseases and their diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

To breed and train up to 30 horses and 10 dogs annually.

Courses Offered

Basic War Dog Handlers’ Course

To train RV&FC personnel to handle and train War Dogs.

Arms and Explosive Search Dog Training Course

To train RV&FC personnel on handling and conducting special training of War Dogs in Arms and Explosive Search or Improvised Explosive Device Search.
