Ordnance Centre and School (OC&S)
To impart technical training to Ordnance Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers. To impart training to the officers of other arms and services, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Border Guards Bangladesh and other Para Military Forces. To conduct corps trade test and promotion cadres.
About Ordnance Centre and School (OC&S)
OC&S started functioning immediately after the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. It was formally raised on 01 October 1977 within the existing accommodation of Central Ammunition Depot (CAD). However, all the wings and establishments were later shifted to the present location at Rajendrapur Cantonment, Gazipur and started functioning from 01 May 1985. OC&S is relentlessly contributing for developing the professionalism of the corps members and advancement of the Army.
Objectives
01
To conduct courses for Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Civilian personnel of the Ordnance Corps.

To conduct special ordnance training to the officers and other ranks of other arms and services, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Border Guards Bangladesh and other Para Military Forces.
03
To conduct Ammunition Technical Officer Course and Basic Ordnance Officer Course for Navy, Air Force and overseas officers.
Courses Offered
Ammunition Technical Course
To train selected ORs of Ordnance Corps on ammunition, explosives and IEDs to work as an AT and perform as an EOD and IED operator under supervision.

Officers’ Basic Course
To train newly commissioned officers of Ordnance Corps on basic ordnance function and related administrative aspects with a view to making them capable of carrying out their duties in ordnance unit /installation / other appointment.

Ammunition Technical Officers’ Course
To train selected officers of Ordnance Corps and officers of Navy, Air Force and foreign countries on ammunition, explosives and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in order to perform as an Ammunition Technical Officer (ATO), an IED Operator and conduct explosive ordnance disposal

To train selected officers from all arms/services on procurement of different types of military equipment with special emphasis on defence procurement and its structure, categories, methods, forecasting requirement generation and contract management.
