About Navigation and Direction School

The school was established in BNS ISSA KHAN as Navigation and Direction (ND) School in 1976. The role of this school is to impart training on various aspects of Navigation and Direction to officers and sailors of Bangladesh Navy.

Objectives

To increase overall efficiency in navigation and ship handling.

To upgrade efficiency in profession and administration.

To acquaint the trainee further with the fundamentals and latest development in science and technology in navigation.

To increase the trainees’ ability with a view to preparing them for taking higher responsibilities.

To train officers to carry out the duties of Navigation SpecializedOfficer and Principal Warfare Officer afloat as well as ashore
