About Flight Safety Institute (FSI)
Located at BAF Base Bashar, Dhaka Cantonment, Flight Safety Institute (FSI) was established on 25 May 1990 to impart training on Flight & Ground safety to the officers and airmen. This institute conducts Flight Safety Officers’ (FSO), Aircraft Accident Investigation (AAI), Ground Safety Officers’ (GSO) & FSO Refresher (FSOR) Courses for officers. It also conducts Safety Programme Management (SPM) & Quality Control Service (QCS) Course for the Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO’s)/ other ranks. Till now this institute trained 878 officers and 1135 other rank personnel from home and abroad. FSI BAF is an “Approved Training Organization (ATO)” of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) to impart training on Aircraft Accident Investigation Course and Flight Safety Officers’ Course since 12 June 2016

To provide working knowledge on aircraft accident and investigation

Rank: Officers of GD (P) and Engineering Branch having at least 8 years of commission service and FSO course qualified

Quality Control Service (QCS) Course
To enable an airman to carry out effective inspection of pre & in service equipment/ item/ materials
