About Bangladesh Air Force Academy (BAFA)

Located in Jashore, the idea of the Bangladesh Air Force Academy (BAFA) was crystallized in 1973. Military academic activities—four-year B.Sc (Honors), three-year B.Sc (Pass) in Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, Bachelor of Business Studies program, and other professional training—are conducted by this prestigious academy under the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
Officer Cadets of the General Duties (Pilot) branch undergo comprehensive basic flying training of international standard in this Academy.

Objectives

To impart training to all Officer Cadets for commissioning as an officer in BAF.

To impart general service training to the Officer Cadets.

To impart academic training to the cadets and under trainee officers.

To impart flying training to the Officer Cadets. To conduct technical training (Level-1).

To impart training to the trainees of foreign countries / other services / organizations.
06
To conduct any other training and activities as directed by Air Headquarters.
