To train musician of BD Armed Forces, Para Military Forces and civil defence personnel on band music and development of military music through training activities.
About Army School of Music (ASM)
Army School of Music is the only institution where training on military band is conducted for Bangladesh Armed Forces and other forces of Bangladesh. This institution was initially raised on 11 November 1975 at Kurmitola, Dhaka Cantonment and then relocated at Chattogram Cantonment on 15 December 1976 as part of EBRC. Finally, Army School of Music was re-organized as an independent training institution in its present location on 09 January 1990.
Objectives

To train Bandmaster, Pipe Major and Drum Major’s for Army Band.

To impart advance instrumental and theoretical training to the musicians.

To train young musicians enabling them to take part in unit bands.

To carry out research on military music, composition and printing musical score/ notation for Army band.
