About Helicopter Simulator Training Institute (HSTI)

Helicopter Simulator Training Institute (HSTI) of Bangladesh Air Force was established to provide familiarization flying training to aircrew of Mi-17 series helicopter background. This institute is designed to expose aircrew of Mi-17 series helicopter background in the critical emergency situation and provide training of handling those in the Full Flight Simulator. HSTI is located in BAF Base Bashar, Dhaka Cantonment.

Objectives

To conduct of ground class on helicopter system and emergency using CBTS (Computer Based Training System)

To conduct of flying training (General Flying, Instrument Flying, Night Flying, Armament Flying)

To practice different critical emergencies in simulator and develop skill.

Simulator Instructor Training

To provide instructor conversion training to QFIs in Mi-17 Series helicopter

To provide orientation training to pilots from Bangladesh Army
