About Junior Staff Training Institute

Junior Staff Course (JSC) started its journey in 1991 in Bangladesh Naval Academy. Overseas Officers started attending this course from 11th JSC conducted in 1998. Besides, officers from Sister Services, Coast Guard are also attending the course regularly. Finally JSTI was established as an institute to conduct JSC and placed under BNA in 2014.

Objectives

To train the young officers to undertake challenging missions both in command and staff appointments by infusing in them required professional knowledge, skill and competency.

To build the professional foundation of Bangladesh Navy’s mid level officers.

To help them gain the competency and abilities needed to face forthcoming professional challenges.
