To enable Bangladesh Navy officers and sailors to carry out appropriate fire fighting and damage control in ship and establishment when required.

About Nuclear Biological & Chemical Defence (NBCD) School

The NBCD School was established in 1990. The school provides training on various methods of major fire fighting and damage control including NBC aspect of warfare to the officers and sailors of Bangladesh Navy. All course curricula are divided into two parts. In the first part, theoretical classes are conducted in NBCD School block and in another part; practical fire fighting and damage control classes are conducted in DC & FF Simulator.

Objectives

To enable an officer to perform the duties and responsibilities of NBCDO/ NBCPO/Action NBCD Officer on board frigate/ small craft.

Courses Offered

Nuclear Biological Chemical Defence and Damage Control Instructor (NBCDI)

Protection from the effects of fire and damage generally, from the effects of chemical and biological agents, radiological hazards resulting from the operational use of nuclear weapons and from the effects of nuclear accidents.
