To impart training to officers and sailors of executive/operational branch on gunnery aspects of naval warfare with a view to enable them to act as Gunnery Officer, Principle Warfare Officer, Gun Direction Officer etc. with sound professional knowledge both in afloat and shore establishment.
About Gunnery School
Gunnery school is the heart of gunnery training in Bangladesh Navy, which was established in BNS ISSA KHAN as Bangladesh Navy Gunnery School in 1975. With the motto of, “HIT HARD, HIT FAST; CONTINUE HITTING TILL THE TARGET IS DESTROYED”, the major role of this school is to impart professional training on various gunnery aspects to officers and sailors of Bangladesh Navy.

Gunnery Specialisation in PWO (G) Course
To enable officers to carry out the duties of Gunnery Specialised Officer and Principal Warfare Officer afloat as well as ashore

Fire Control Qualifying Course 1st Class (FC-I ‘Q’)
To train gunnery sailors to perform the action duties and maintenance of guns as well as to enable them to instruct the junior sailors in gunnery matters

Fire Control Qualifying Course 2nd Class (FC-II ‘Q’)
To act as Fire Controller and train junior sailors on fire control system of guns and missile onboard ships

Gunnery Instructor (GI ‘Q’) ‘Qualifying’ Course
